Object & Totem was founded in 2011, by Julianne Ahn, a Textile Design graduate of The Rhode Island School of Design and The School of the Art Institute of Chicago.  Wheel thrown, extruded, and hand built ceramic based works draw inspiration from synthesizing traditional East Asian and European vase forms with everyday objects, creating meditative relationships and totemic balance. Formerly based in Philadelphia, Berlin and Brooklyn, the studio is currently located in Cumberland County, Maine, with a current emphasis on limited edition vases, select functional ware for home and bath, Wood-fired ceramics and fine art objects.
